The Take Action That I Have Already Done
The first person that I helped with technology and who inspired me to do this was my grandparents. They were really struggling at first whenever the coronavirus hit, because my grandmother was a substitute teacher for a class for the rest of the school year and my grandfather just wanted my help with anything that had technology. At first, it was hard for my grandmother to adjust because she had never done this before. This really made me work on my patience because it could take her a long to understand things, but as she got it down, it made it lot easier. Helping them out gave me the idea to change my project so that I can help other people that need technology assistance.
Another way that I have taken action was I made flyers and distributed them to some of my neighbors. I made sure that I was wearing gloves and a mask whenever dealing with them. I also posted on my neighborhood's Nextdoor, to ask if anyone needed help. I have already received several responses.
My first "client" was to help a 16 person book club get in Michigan get set up with Zoom, so that they could keep meeting with each other. They were able to successfully hold their first virtual book club on April 23.
